"We’re all about the dogs here and I truly think this might be the one coat they’ll actually enjoy wearing."

Over my last fifteen years of sewing, I’ve always dabbled in making the odd thing outside of collars and leads. Usually, it’s been for myself, a family member or just for fun, but it’s something I’ve always enjoyed.
It was only as we headed into the colder months that the idea for these coats really began to take shape. We were sorting through our drawer of dog coats for our only dog now, Harvey the cocker spaniel, ready for when he came home from a wet walk or felt a bit chilly after a haircut. These were jumpers and coats we’d collected over the years, but that drawer was usually where 90% stayed. Ours have always hated anything pulled over their heads and ears and getting their legs through armholes was another story. With one dog with legs close together and the other with a gap to park a bus it always meant they were stretched or scrunched stood there once wrestled on like they didn't dare move. (you know the look).
This isn’t to discredit those coats they’re brilliant for many hounds but they just didn’t suit ours. There was, however, one coat that had stood the test of time. It was our chocolate roan cocker Bailey’s first proper coat. I had him when I was sixteen, so it must be at least seventeen years old now (yes, everyone gets their calculators out at this point). I'll pop an image over him below....

It was a horsey-style coat, found when we were always out with our family pony, Boysie and that coat was passed down from dog to dog ever since.
So this winter, I knew I wanted to make something that filled that gap. A fuss-free coat that didn’t compromise on materials. One that was warm, thick and substantial, something that could wick away water, hold its shape and still be comfortable enough for dogs to wear happily, whether they’re walking, snoozing or drying off at home. The sort of coat you’ll be pulling out in seventeen years’ time too.

Being handmade means I have full control of the process and I think we’ve cracked it. These coats are cut deep, covering all those key muscles and areas that matter those including little bottoms and hamstrings, while still allowing your dog to move freely. They fasten easily with adjustable Velcro straps, so there’s no pulling over heads or wrestling with sleeves, just a comfortable fit that works for every shape and size.
Each one is made from double-layered premium anti-pill fleece, giving that beautifully thick, cosy feel while staying breathable and quick-drying. They’re lined in our signature cream fleece for a soft, luxury finish and finished with our Tweed & Tether faux leather label for that classic country look.
And if your dog loves a bit of extra warmth, you can pair it with one of our matching fleece snoods for added neck and ear coverage. Perfect for those frosty walks or drying off after a splash in the stream.
We’re all about the dogs here and I truly think this might be the one coat they’ll actually enjoy wearing.
