Struggling With Cold Ears? Meet Your New Favourite Winter Head Warmer

Tweed head warmer equestrian autumn day
Me and my welsh cob Lewie

If you spend as much time outdoors as I do, you’ll know how unforgiving winter can be. Between dog walks, looking after the horses and getting jobs done outside, the wind always finds its way in. For me, it usually ended the same way, earache that made the cold unbearable. That’s exactly why I designed our handmade tweed head warmers: practical, stylish and made for real countryside life.

I used to try hats, but they were never quite right. With my hair often in a ponytail, they would ride up and leave my ears exposed again. It was one of those little discomforts that made long days outside even harder. The head warmers solved all of that, they stay put, keep my ears warm and still let me wear my hair how I like. Now I can stay out longer, finish what I need to do and actually enjoy winter dog walks and stable jobs without the ache.

When I first started designing them, I spent a long time searching for the right fabrics. I wanted faux fur that was as soft and high quality as the kind used in luxury clothing, and tweeds that felt timeless but wearable. Together, the tweed and faux fur look incredible, and I love offering different colours and fur styles so there’s something to suit everyone.

What makes them even more versatile is that each head warmer is fully reversible tweed on one side for a touch of heritage style, faux fur on the other for cosy comfort. They’re lightweight, soft and designed to be worn all day, whether you’re out on a muddy dog walk, mucking out at the stables or heading into town in your favourite country coat.

For me, these head warmers aren’t just about keeping warm, they’re about making winter easier and more enjoyable. They’re the accessory I reach for every single day once the cold sets in. If you’ve ever cut a walk short or rushed through jobs at the yard because the wind got too much, you’ll know exactly why they’re such a game changer.

You can explore the collection and find the style that feels most like you. I hope they make your winter days a little cosier too.
