Finding the Perfect Fit: Our Tweed & Tartan Dog Collar Size Guide

When it comes to collars, a perfect fit isn’t just about style, it’s about comfort and safety too. That’s why we’ve created a simple and straightforward size guide to help you pick the right collar for your four-legged friend.

Whether you’ve got a dainty terrier or a chunky Labrador, our collars are designed to be both beautiful and practical. Each one is handmade with quality in mind so it’s only fair we make sure it fits just right too.

How to Measure Your Dog's Neck

The best way to measure your dog’s neck is with a soft tape measure. Wrap it around the part of their neck where the collar would naturally sit, not too tight and not too loose. You want it to be snug enough that it won't slip off but with enough space to slide two fingers comfortably underneath.

If you don’t have a tape measure to hand, a piece of string and a ruler will do the trick just as well.

Our Tweed Collar Sizes

Our tweed collars feature a sturdy side release clip fastening and a tri-glide slider so you can easily adjust the fit to suit your dog’s neck. These are available in Small, Medium and Large, with each size offering a flexible fit range.

• Small – Fits neck size approx. 9”–12”

• Medium – Fits neck size approx. 13”–16”

• Large – Fits neck size approx. 16”–21”

  
  

If your dog sits between sizes, we’d usually recommend sizing up. It’s always better to have a little extra room and adjust down, rather than it being a tight squeeze.

If you're buying for a puppy or your dog doesn't quite fit into one of our standard sizes, just get in touch. We’re always happy to help and can offer custom sizing on request. Every dog is different and we want them all to feel comfy and look smart.
